  • Summary

    This role reports to the Director of Production Support and is responsible for the development and implementation of best practices in the areas of project management, business analysis and software quality assurance testing for IT software development. Manages strategic projects ensuring talent resources, processes and tools are efficiently utilized. Stays abreast of new methods, automation and tools and works with employees, managers, developers, peers to determine which to recommend for use at GeoVera.

    Essential Functions

    • Through strong project management and business analysis skills, lead and direct staff in managing the full lifecycle of the company’s highest priority strategic projects. Utilize appropriate methodologies and tools and tailoring those to fit GeoVera’s fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Responsible for Software Quality Assurance (SQA) testing including test strategies, planning, estimation, creation of Use Cases and Test Plans and execution of testing.
    • Recommend and implement as appropriate modern testing methodologies, tools and automation staying abreast of the changing SQA technology landscape.
    • Lead and exemplify strong collaboration across all areas to ensure project management, business analysis and testing are working in tandem with each other, business partners, and across all IT functions.
    • Implement continuous process improvement and refinement in the project process life cycle.
    • Will work with Director of Production Support regarding human resource planning, resource allocation, staff selection, termination, training and development, performance management and salary administration.

    Performs other related duties as required and assists with special projects.

    Minimum Requirements

    Education, training, and experience:

    • Bachelors, Associates Degree and/or equivalent combination of High School Diploma/GED, and training and work experience with courses/background in information systems, software engineering, or business administration.
    • Must possess in-depth knowledge of project management and business analysis concepts and methods, as well as an understanding of the business needs of GeoVera Holdings, Inc.
    • Experience with software quality testing methods and tools and production deployment.
    • Seven to ten years’ experience in Project Management, Business Analysis and Software Testing with five to seven years in management.

      • Project plan and schedule creation and maintenance
      • Identification and implementation of project lifecycle process improvements

      • Software testing methodologies and tools
    • Excellent problem resolution and decision making abilities.
    • Exceptional communication, collaboration and negotiation skills.
    • Demonstrate well-developed oral, written, interpersonal communications and presentation skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and deal with changing priorities.
    • Team player willing to work in an environment where individual initiative and accountability are required.
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks with accuracy, able to prioritize effectively and meet deadlines
    • Works well with management and co-workers
