In collaboration with the General Counsel, the Director of Compliance’s responsibilities include providing legal counsel on a full range of legal issues with a particular emphasis on insurance law and regulatory matters in order to ensure compliance with regulatory legal requirements.
Supervises the operation of the policy processing and/or support services staff. Responsible for successful completion of all policy processing and support services functions in accordance with established business practice, policies and procedures. Ability to not only adapt to change, but develop new ideas and approaches aimed at better understanding processing issues and more effectively meet customer needs.
This role reports to the Director of Production Support and is responsible for the development and implementation of best practices in the areas of project management, business analysis and software quality assurance testing for IT software development. Manages strategic projects ensuring talent resources, processes and tools are efficiently utilized. Stays abreast of new methods, automation and tools and works with employees, managers, developers, peers to determine which to recommend for use at GeoVera.
The Senior Testing Analyst (STA) leads successful testing efforts across projects, initiatives, and other assignments. They partner with others across our business units and IT to assist with the elicitation and analysis of business requirements in order to ensure the understanding of those requirements across the assigned testing team. The STA uses that knowledge to determine optimal methods to test functions and systems to ensure they meet the documented and approved requirements. They will lead development, documentation, and execution of detailed Use Case Scenarios and Test Scripts as requested for various projects and change requests, sometimes mentoring less experienced TA’s through the process. The STA will become a functional expert on one or more applications and business areas such as quoting websites, financial/general ledger, bureau/ISO reporting, forms applications, policy, agency and claims management systems, etc. Detail orientated ability to communicate clearly and excellent collaboration skills are essential to success in this role.
Within this job there are ranges of claim handling requirements, including direct management and resolution of claims. This may involve requiring assistance by an independent adjuster or the use of outside counsel.
